Moving On Up

Certain games can make or break a season. Wins on the road against teams like Racing are those kinds of games. Yes, they were down in the standings trying to find themselves, but still a talented club where they should expect three points against Mallorca at home. Instead, we stole the three points with a goal by Webo in minute 85 and are now up to 9th in the standings with a real chance to move up even further as we get Sporting Gijon at home this weekend and they are dead last in Serie A.

Manzano continues to move his lineup around and we cant question the results so we must just accept that we will see most of the players at some point in each game. Some will play more then others, but its clear that other then Nunes and Moya, any player can be called upon and subsituted at any time. If it works, keep doing what you are doing. While that one superstar player like a Guiza or Ibagaza may be gone, our depth seems strong and we have a lot of talent all the way around. Using his full alotment of substitutes has maybe alloed Manzano to bring on a player that can get that last minute goal when everyone else is tired. If we could only have gotten the same result against Osasuna.

Winning is certainly enjoyable but we must realize things are still early and that we need to take points when expected and put up big fights for points when they are not expected. This weekend is a must three pointer so Manzano will have to keep the momentum going.

All and all we have to be pleased with the start and the win against Racing and that makes it easier to accept that we are still searching for that combination of players that will cause us to do even better then we have so far.

Winning eliminates all uncertainty but dont get cocky yet. We need to win some more games and the players will really emerge.
